Terms of Service

Last updated: June 16, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Low Vision Zoom software application and the lowvisionzoom.com website (together, the "Service"), provided by txtbook LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a limited liability company based in Kansas, United States. By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The software and your license

Low Vision Zoom is a Windows screen-magnification application. Subject to these Terms and your payment of the applicable fee (after any trial), we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the software on Windows devices that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use.

This is a license, not a sale of the software itself. We and our licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the software.

2. Free trial

We offer a free trial (currently 7 days) so you can evaluate the full software before purchasing. When the trial ends, the software continues to run with reduced magnification until you enter a valid license key; it is not disabled. We may change the length or terms of the trial for future users at any time.

3. License keys

A purchase provides one license key that unlocks the full software. Keep your key private — anyone with the key can use it. License keys are validated offline by the app; we do not require an account or an internet connection to activate. Do not publish, resell, or distribute license keys.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) copy, sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or redistribute the software except as expressly permitted; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law; (c) remove or alter any proprietary notices; or (d) use the software in any unlawful way or to violate the rights of others.

5. Purchases, pricing, and payment

Paid licenses are sold through our payment provider, Paddle, who acts as the merchant of record for purchases. When you buy a license, your order is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms, and Paddle handles payment processing, billing, and applicable taxes. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change for future purchases; the price you paid for an existing license will not change retroactively.

6. Refunds

Purchases are covered by our Refund Policy, including a 30-day money-back guarantee. Refunds are processed through Paddle.

7. Updates

A paid license includes future updates to the software at no additional charge. We may provide updates, but we are not obligated to provide any particular feature or to maintain the software indefinitely. The app may offer an update check that contacts our website only when you ask it to; see the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

"Low Vision Zoom," the logo, the website, and the software are the property of txtbook LLC and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks or branding.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every system configuration. Low Vision Zoom is an accessibility utility and is not a medical device; it is not intended to diagnose, treat, or correct any visual or medical condition.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, txtbook LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the license in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Termination

These Terms apply while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate the license if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the software at any time and uninstall it.

12. Privacy

Your privacy is covered by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. In short: the Low Vision Zoom app collects no personal information and runs entirely on your device, while this website uses only privacy-first, cookieless analytics and the contact form you choose to use. When you buy a license, your payment is handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, as described in the Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, except where applicable consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
